AI and City Management Track
The Creative Inquiry Fellowship Program aims to create a platform for collective sense-making, interdisciplinary collaboration, and creative problem-solving in the context of AI and City Governance among faculty members of Quezon City universities.
This fellowship program recognizes the importance of inquiry-based learning and encourages teachers to engage in creative endeavors that explore the intersection of artificial intelligence and effective city governance. Fellows will have the opportunity to engage in the discourse on AI, the risks, and practical solutions that these technologies bring, and contribute to the advancement of AI-driven solutions for urban challenges.
Program Objectives:
To promote creative inquiry as a means of generating knowledge, meaning, and engagement between the academe and the world of city managers.
To foster interdisciplinary collaboration among faculty members from various disciplines to enhance research outcomes.
To develop practicapractical applications and innovative solutions that can positively impact urban communities.
To facilitate the dissemination of research findings and encourage dialogue on the ethical, social, and policy implications of AI in city governance.
Program Structure and Activities:
Faculty Seminars and Workshops: Regular seminars and workshops will be organized to facilitate knowledge sharing, interdisciplinary discussions, and the exchange of ideas among the fellows. These sessions may include presentations by guest speakers, panel discussions, and hands-on workshops on AI technologies.
Mentorship and Guidance: Fellows will receive mentorship and guidance from experienced faculty members or experts in the field to support their research and creative inquiry process.
Project Design and Implementation: Fellows will develop practical applications or prototypes that demonstrate the potential of AI in addressing specific city governance challenges. They will work closely with relevant stakeholders, local government agencies, and community partners to ensure the relevance and feasibility of their projects.
Evaluation and Reflection: Regular progress evaluations will be conducted to assess the fellows' research outcomes and provide feedback for improvement. Fellows will also engage in reflective practices to document their creative process, challenges faced, and lessons learned.
Dissemination and Outreach: Fellows will be encouraged to share their notes regularly through the Youtube Channel. The program will also organize public forums or exhibitions to showcase the fellows' work and initiate dialogue on the role of AI in city governance.
